Renowned educationist Dr Jagdish Gandhi honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award

 

Lucknow, 15 December : Founder of City Montessori School and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi was honoured with 'Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar' (Lifetime Achievement Award) today. This prestigious award was conferred upon Dr Gandhi at the 4th National Teachers' Congress organized online by the MIT World Peace University, Pune supported by the Government of Maharashtra and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation). On this occasion, the gathering included eminent personalities like Hon'ble Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, Former Member of Parliament; Dr Najma Heptulla, Governor of Manipur; Dr R.A. Mashelkar, Padma Vibhushan, National Research Professor & Chancellor, Institute of Chemical Institution, Mumbai; Dr K. Kasturiranjan, Former Head, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO); Mr Eric Falt, Director of UNESCO, New Delhi; Prof Dr R.M. Chitnis, Pro Vice Chancellor, MIT World Peace University, Pune; Dr N.T. Rao, Vice Chancellor, MIT World Peace University, Pune, and many more.

              Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that a film of the efforts of Dr Jagdish Gandhi was shown to the audience on this occasion. Shri Murli Manohar Joshi and Mr Rahul V. Karad, Executive President of the MIT World Peace University spoke about the contribution of Dr Jagdish Gandhi in the field of education for the past 63 years. Acknowledging the award, Dr Gandhi thanked the organizers and said that while he is happy to accept the award, the progress of City Montessori School, Lucknow has been possible because of the relentless efforts of all the Principals, teachers and staff of CMS who work very hard in the service of the over 56,000 students.
