Participants unparalleled skills come to the fore in Science Quiz
Lucknow, 20 Decemberr : On the third and concluding day of International Science Olympiad 'Quanta-2020' organized online by City Montessori School, Chowk Campus, the participating students from Brazil, Germany, Jordan, Bangladesh, Russia and various states of India displayed outstanding knowledge of Science in the Science Quiz held today. At the same time, these participants from India and abroad presented a view of the future world which would be based on the latest technologies and advancements in Science. The participants' performance in this competition drew massive appreciation of the audience.
The Science Quiz was organized live
on zoom app today. Quizmaster, Ms Shivani Tiwari, graduated from IIT Kanpur, a
gold medallist and senior maths teacher from CMS Chowk Campus, very ably
conducted the quiz adding a dash of humour and suspense and the participants
garnered appreciation of the audience with their quick answers to the toughest
of questions. The competition was conducted in two rounds. The winners of the
written round got the opportunity to participate in the final round held live
on the Zoom app today. Each team
comprised two participants answering questions with the speed of light in
visual, oral and buzzer rounds.
Earlier,
CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi blessed the participating students from
India and abroad and said that the time has come for the student community to
unite the world and create an ideal world order. Secretary of Quanta-2020
and Principal of CMS Chowk Campus, Mrs Aditi Sharma said that through their
global outlook as displayed at this event, these students have shown that they
are all set to lay the foundation of a better world order.
Chief
Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that International Science Olympiad
'Quanta-2020' organized online from 18th to 20th December 2020, was the 24th
edition of the annual event of City Montessori School, Chowk Campus. At this
event, students from Brazil, Germany, Jordan, Bangladesh, Russia and various
states of India displayed their knowledge and skills through participation
in Mathematics and Mental Ability Quiz and Science Quiz. In the Mathematics
and Mental Ability Quiz held yesterday, student of Cooperativa De Trabalho
Educacional Cesar Almeida, Brazil won the first prize while student of St.
Joseph Higher Secondary School, Bangladesh won the second prize and student of
CMS Chowk Campus won the third prize. Mr Sharma said that students'
performance in this international competition of Science and Mathematics proved
that they are capable of leading the world towards a new era of unity.
