International Sports, Arts and Music Competition The SAM gets a grand online inauguration today


 Lucknow, 13 December : Four day International Sports, Arts and Music Competition (The SAM 2020) organized by City Montessori School, Jopling Road Campus got a splendid online inauguration today. Chief Guest on this occasion, Dr Monika Agnihotri, Divisional Manager, Indian Railway, virtually inaugurated this mega event amidst presentations of several scintillating educational-cultural items. On this occasion, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi wished the participants good luck for a healthy competition and a bright future. It may be mentioned here that CMS Jopling Road Campus is organizing the four day International Sports, Arts and Music Competition 'The SAM' from 13 to 16 December 20202 in which student teams from Iran, Russia, Greece, Nepal and various states of India are enthusiastically participating. This international event aims to encourage collaboration and unity amongst the youth and students and subsequently the people of the world.

              Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Guest, Dr Monika Agnihotri, Divisional Manager, Indian Railway, said that corona pandemic has left a negative impact on the minds of people all over the world affecting education too, but at the same time, there has been a lot of creativity and positive thinking which clearly points out towards out culture seeking unity in diversity. She expressed the belief that music, arts and sports will bring the students community together on a global platform and infuse a new strength and vigour in the minds of children. This will make them more creative and progressive in outlook. Earlier, the programme began with a Welcome song, All Religion and World Peace Prayer, Qawwali by mothers and several entertaining and educational items. These left the audience mesmerized and eager for more.        

              CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that music, arts and sports, all are extremely beneficial for the child's all round growth and development. This four day programme will not only improve the skills inherent in children but will also boost their spirit and foster the feelings of World Unity and World Peace. CMS President and MD, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said on this occasion that it was a great challenge for the small campus of CMS Jopling Road but precious odours are found in small packages and the fragrance of CMS Jopling Road will travel far and wide. She congratulated the principal, teachers, staff and students for taking this initiative and wished them all success. She was sure that this online celebration of talent would give them new found confidence and a desire to achieve greatness in life.

              The convener of ‘The SAM 2020’ and Principal of CMS Jopling Road Campus, Mrs Shipra Upadhyay informed that the competitions of this International event include Sound Symphony, Blending Boundaries, The Expedition, Tongue Tinglers (Fireless Cooking),  Mask Designing, Covid Rhapsody, Story telling with puppet, Udaan (Kite preparation), Paper Modelling, Folk-O-Bics (Choereography), SAM Theatre, SAM Quiz etc. Students from Pre-Primary to senior classes are participating in these events. All the events have been designed with a view to stimulate the creativity of the participants, inspiring them to create their masterpieces. It will unleash the talents of students, help in boosting their will power and confidence and empower them to accept the challenges of life with ease, she hoped.
