Springdale Senior School, Amritsar wins Overall Championship

Lucknow, 3 September :  'Odyssey International-2024' a four-day International Literary Festival organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I concluded with a grand closing ceremony today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. On this occasion, winners of competitions from various parts of India and abroad were honoured and awarded shields, medals and certificates. The Overall Championship of 'Odyssey International-2024' went to Springdale Senior School, Amritsar, Punjab whereas the runner-up trophy was bagged by the St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School, New Delhi. It is worth mentioning here that 'Odyssey International-2024' was organized from 21 August to 3 September 2024 at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, wherein around 500 students and experts from the USA, England, Russia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and various states of India participated.

            Earlier, the Chief Guest, Dr Zakari Adam, UP State Head, UNICEF, inaugurated the closing ceremony by lighting the lamp of learning. Later, he also gave away the prizes to the winners. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr Zakari said that the present age requires a language which is easily understood by everyone and through which everyone is capable of expressing and exchanging their ideas. He opined that such programmes greatly inspire the students to gain the highest summit of knowledge, thereby raising the overall standard of education. Convenor of 'Odyssey International-2024' and Senior Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs Nisha Pandey while expressing her gratitude towards the participants from various parts of India and abroad and their team leaders, invited all of them to the next Odyssey International. On this occasion, CMS students presented several colourful educational-cultural items mesmerizing one and all.

            Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head of the CMS Communication Department, informed that prior to the closing ceremony, the Rock Band competition was held in the morning session, in which the participants took part very enthusiastically and showcased their musical and artistic talents as well as their deep knowledge of English language. He said that even though this international event has concluded today but the light of unity and peace lit here at this Festival will keep on spreading its radiance throughout the world in years to come.
