Grand Inauguration of International Macfair-2024
Lucknow, September 6 – The four-day International Mathematics
and Computer Fair 'Macfair International-2024', organized by City Montessori
School, Mahanagar Campus was inaugurated
in a grand ceremony at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium. The Chief Guest, Shri J.P.S.
Rathore, Cooperative Minister (Independent Charge) of Uttar Pradesh, officially
inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. While addressing the
young scientists from India and abroad, Shri Rathore emphasized the growing
importance of subjects like computers, science, and mathematics in today’s
scientific era. He stated that it is essential for the world's greatest
scientists to use their knowledge for fulfilling the basic needs of people,
development, creative endeavors, global unity, and world peace. He further expressed
his strengthened belief that the future of the world is indeed in the safe
hands of these young scientists.During the inauguration ceremony, CMS students
presented a series of vibrant and educational cultural performance in honour of
the participating teams and their teachers from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and
various states of India, winning the hearts of everyone in attendance.
It
is noteworthy that 'Macfair International-2024' is being held from September 6
to 9 at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium. Around 500 young scientists from across
India and abroad have come to Lucknow to showcase their talents and knowledge.
This international competition features various interesting and intellectually
stimulating contests for the participating students.Earlier today, the
participant students attended a press conference held in the afternoon session
at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium. They openly shared their thoughts about the
event and made an appeal to all scientists worldwide to pledge to use science
for the betterment of humanity.
Dr. Kalpana
Tripathi, Principal of CMS Mahanagar Campus and the convener of 'Macfair
International', informed the journalists that the event would feature several
exciting contests like debate, math quiz, science quiz, character speak,
science model display, teaching module, group discussion, science olympiad,
fiction writing, drama, and more. These competitions will be held in both
junior and senior categories.Prof. Geeta
Gandhi Kingdon, Manager of CMS, expressed her gratitude to all the young
scientists and their team leaders from across the globe, stating that their
presence at this international platform is a testament to the desire of young
scientists to unite the world. Rishi
Khanna, Head of Communications at CMS, informed that the competitions of
Macfair will commence tomorrow, September 7, at CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium and
will conclude on September 9 with a prize distribution ceremony.
