CMS teachers take out 'Character Building March' to celebrate Teachers Day,


 

Lucknow, September 4: City Montessori School organized a grand 'Teachers' Day Celebration' today at the CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus auditorium to mark the auspicious occasion of Teachers' Day. On this occasion, CMS teachers were awarded cash prizes and attractive gifts in recognition of their invaluable services. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, followed by garlanding the portrait of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. In his address, Dr. Sharma emphasized that the expansion of quality education is essential, and teachers play a crucial role in this. The role of teachers in social development will always remain relevant.

On this occasion, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon warmly welcomed the esteemed guests and teachers, expressing that all CMS teachers and staff deserve congratulations for not only educating the children but also building their character and shaping their future. She stated that this ceremony is being organized inspired by the late CMS Founder, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi. Dr. Gandhi believed that teachers are the architects of society. Prof. Kingdon expressed happiness by announcing that it is a matter of pride for the entire CMS family and the residents of Lucknow that the road in front of the CMS headquarters, 'Station Road,' will now be known as 'Dr. Jagdish Gandhi Marg,' for which we are grateful to the state government. Ms. Sushmita Ghosh, Head of CMS Quality Assurance and Innovation Department, also welcomed the teachers and discussed the achievements of CMS teachers throughout the year.

At the 'Teachers' Day Celebration,' the best teachers for the year 2023-2024, along with their mothers and fathers, were publicly honored. In the ISC section, Ms. Manisha Mehrotra, a Biotechnology teacher from CMS Mahanagar Campus, and in the ICSE section, Ms. Kakul Kumar, an English teacher from CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, were declared the best teachers for the year 2023-24. The mothers of these two teachers were publicly honored by being weighed with fruits and flowers, while their fathers were honoured with shawls. Additionally, principals and teachers from various CMS campuses were also honored with cash rewards and attractive gifts. In total, all CMS teachers and staff were honored with cash prizes and other gifts. On this occasion, CMS teachers presented an array of educational and cultural items mesmerizing one and all.
