Young skaters display outstanding talent in Roller Skating championship

Lucknow, April 26 : City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II organized  a two day Inter-School Roller Skating Competition on CMS Gomti Nagar Campus Extension premises.  The Skating Contest took off after a reverential lamp lighting ceremony by the CMS Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi. The lamp ignited a new hope and sportsman spirit among the competitors. Dr Bharti Gandhi stressed upon the importance and values learnt from games and sports in the daily life of students leading to their all-round growth and development. Earlier, the students of CMS Rajajipuram Campus II presented the message of “India Fit and Young that was much appreciated by the viewers. The Skating Competition was flagged off by the Senior Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Ms Manjit Batra and the Principal, Mrs Sangeeta Bannerji.

            The first day of the 4th Inter-school Roller Skating Championship was filled with excitement, inspiration, and friendly competition. The championship witnessed a huge participation from Lucknow as the students from almost 69 schools displayed their sporting talent, technique and agility in various skating fixtures and won applause from the audience. The day's events included Short and Long Races for Rink 1 and 2, specifically designed for students from Classes I to IV. It provided a platform for the young skaters to showcase their talent and compete in a friendly and supportive environment. At this championship, students from 69 schools, including Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Seth A R Jaipuria School, Lucknow Public School, Delhi Public School, Millennium School, St Francis College, Montfort school, St Fidelis College, La Martiniere College, Study Hall and many more along with the various campuses of CMS participated in various events with great enthusiasm. Convenor of the Skating Championship and Principal of CMS Rajajipuram  Mrs Anupama Checker said that games and sports lead to all round development of body, mind and spirit besides inculcating virtues of cooperation, sharing, boldness and self-sacrificing, self-confidence and the aim to make the country proud of his achievements.
