Students dive deep into knowledge about higher studies abroad

Lucknow, April 20 : A Career Counselling Workshop was organized with joint collaboration of College Board Examinations, USA and City Montessori School at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus Extension on 19th April 2024. On this occasion, Career Experts gave useful advice to the CMS students of Classes IX to XII and presented a road map for applying in various foreign universities. Over 800 students participated in this useful workshop and gained useful information from representatives of 20 universities of various countries as well as India. The representatives of different universities informed the students about admission procedures, scholarships and food, board and lodging facilities available, language problems and how to solve them. They also discussed the expenditure involved and fee concessions and grants for students of various categories.  Students freely interacted with the experts and representatives of various prestigious universities thus opening the corridors of successful careers for them.  It may be mentioned that the College Board, USA is an organization which conducts standard exams like SAT, AP and PSAT and on the basis of their scores, universities give admissions to foreign students thus enabling thm to find places in the most highly ranked universities of the world like Harvard and Princeton.

            Addressing the students on this occasion, the CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that the student of today is curious to learn about the best universities and the best career options. In this scenario, this Workshop is a boon for students.  Motivating the students, Prof Geeta Kingdon said that for bringing about useful social transformation, it is important to empower the students. CMS. Senior Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus, Miss Manjit Batra said that the Workshop aims at giving the students the right direction in life so that they are not led astray.  Head of CMS Career Counselling Department, Ms Chandra Kundra, South Central Asia, College Board Manager Ms Mehak Verma, ISC Coordinator, Ms Prerna Singh and others addressed the gathering and enlightened the students. CMS Gomti Nagar Principal, Mrs Sangeeta Bannerji thanked everyone for their kind participation. The Workshop was coordinated by M Shashank Srivastava of Career Counselling Department of CMS.
