Festival Logo and Poster of CMS' International Children's Film Festival unveiled


 

Lucknow, April 3 : The Festival Logo and Poster of the world's biggest International Children's Film Festival (ICFF-2024) organized by City Montessori School, was unveiled today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Chief Guest, Padma Shri Mrs Malini Awasthi, renowned folk singer, inaugurated the function amidst a scintillating educational-cultural programme and unveiled the festival logo and festival poster of ICFF-2024. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Chief Guest, Mrs Awasthi said that the International Children's Film Festival is a golden opportunity for students, teachers, parents and all the citizens of Lucknow as they can enjoy the best children's films free of charge as well as understand the varied culture and customs of the world. It is worth mentioning here that the Films Division of City Montessori School is organizing the 13th ICFF-2024 from 15 to 21 April 2024 at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. More than 501 children's films from 91 countries will be shown here free of charge during the seven days of ICFF.

            On this occasion, CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon briefed the journalists about the aims and objectives of this mega event at a press conference held here today. She said that this film festival was an integral part of education and not a mere means of entertainment. CMS believes that the audio-visual medium is one of the most powerful approaches in teaching values to children because it gets deeply imprinted upon their tender minds.Mr R K Singh, Festival Director of ICFF-2024 informed that this Children's Film Festival is absolutely free of charge for one and all. There will be two shows daily from 9 am to 12 noon and 12 noon to 3 pm. These eminent personalities include Darsheel Safari (Actor), Dev Joshi (Actor), Talat Aziz (Singer), Sadiya Siddiqui (Actress), Bhumika Gurung (Actress), Jayant Gilatar (Director) and Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma (Screenplay Writer) etc.

 

Apart from this, cash prizes worth Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh) will be awarded to the Best Children's Films under various categories. The selection of the best children's films will be done by an international jury comprising Dr. Ahmet Boyacioglu from Turkey, Mr Filip Diviak from Austria, Mr Kripal Kalita, Mr Utpal Borpujari and Ms Malti Sahai from India while the child jury comprises Ms Reet Miglani, Ms Aadya Mishra and Master Krishna Singh. Mr R K Singh further stated that CMS makes elaborate arrangements for nearly one lakh students of over 300 schools in the city of Lucknow to view these educational films at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium and mini theatres.
