Succinct discussion held to make New Education Policy a success

Lucknow, May 21 : The operators of private schools, under the flagship of the Association of Private Schools, UP, convened a discussion 'Manthan-2023' today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. The meeting saw a cogitative discussion by the operators of the private schools, came from the districts of Uttar Pradesh, on the strategy to make the New Education Policy of the Government of India, a grand success. On this occasion, teachers and educationists came from all over the state were honoured.

                Ahead of it, 'Manthan-2023' began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony. Speaking on this occasion, the Director General of Basic and Secondary Education, UP, Shri Vijay Kiran Anand said that the New Education Policy is a visionary project and it will bring multiple changes in the methodology and pedagogy in educating children. He assured the operators of the private schools to fully support their demands. Founder of City Montessori School, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said in his address that the meaningful discussion held today will bring innovative changes in education for sure. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that the New Education Policy of the Government of India is a wonderful, extremely thoughtful policy, and one of the best in the world. But, the aspect of chapter 8 did not find a place here. It needs an agency like TRAI and SEBI, an independent free agency to regulate to create a level play in the field for both a government and a private school. Mr Shyam Pachauri, President CBSE Managers Association, said that we are teaching the less privileged children under RTE, but the compensation is still far away. Other eminent speakers who put value to the discussion included Dr Sushil Gupta, President, Association of Progressive Schools of Agra; Mrs Shalini Bhargava, School Managing Trustee, Jhansi; Dr Rakesh Nandan, President, Aligarh Private Schools Association; Dr Ashok Thakur, Dr Vivek Yadav, Shri Brijendra Sharma, Mr Ravi Prakash Jaiswal, Mr Brijesh Yadav, Mr Afaq, Mr Kapil Lohia, and othersDr Amit Chandra, Senior Consultant, Central Square Foundation, was the compere of the event and moderator of the panel discussion.

                Dr Atul Kumar, President of the Association of Private Schools, UP, informed that the speakers especially emphasized that an independent regulatory body must be formed to remove the irregularities prevalent in the world of education that will be in compliance with the Chapter 8 of the New Education Policy. Other important points of discussion on this occasion included a quick payment to the students admitted under RTE Act, and an earnest request was made to the administration and government for speedy disposal of the order given by the Honourable High Court. It was requested to the Director General of Basic and Secondary Education, UP, Shri Vijay Kiran Anand, IAS, to resolve the issues in the data feeding process of students to make the process easier and smoother for the schools to update their data on 'UDISE' website.

                The discussion concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr Atul Kumar to all the operators of private schools came from across the state. He expressed hope that very fruitful results will come out of this meeting.
