Astroturf facility to enable students to showcase sporting talent — Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Founder, CMS

Lucknow, 2 May : The newly laid Astroturf Sports Field at City Montessori School, Anand Nagar Campus was inaugurated today by the CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi. Amidst the educational-cultural items, Dr Gandhi cut the ribbon to formally inaugurate the newly laid Astroturf field. On this occasion, Dr Gandhi said that the Astroturf facility will be useful in encouraging and preparing students for sports competitions. He expressed hope that this newly laid out field will infuse enthusiasm in upcoming sport stars of the campus and notch things up to a whole new level.  He urged parents and teachers to encourage their gifted children to avail this facility. On this occasion, CMS students presented a series of educational-cultural items mesmerizing one and all. The inaugural function began with the School Prayer, All Religion Prayer and World Unity Prayer, which spread the message of world unity and world peace across the world.

               On this occasion, Principal of CMS Anand Nagar Campus, Ms Reena Soti said that  today students need to be both 'good' and 'smart'. Since a healthy body is just as much important as a healthy mind, students need to participate in sports activities. CMS students have brought laurels to the school not only in academics but on state and national level sports. CMS is committed to hone sporting talents of its students. Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that CMS leaves no stone unturned to promote development in all spheres of life. To develop the sporting talents of its students, CMS has set up a fine infrastructure including Astroturf Sports Field, swimming pools and training by the experienced sports teachers. Earlier, astroturf fields have been laid at various CMS campuses viz CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I, CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II and Rajendra Nagar Campus I etc.
