75 member CMS students' delegation leaves for Atari Wagah border educational excursion

Lucknow, May 20 : A 75-member delegation of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus comprising 67 students and 8 teachers left here today for a six-day educational excursion to visit historical sites in Chandigarh and Amritsar and a special tour to the Atari-Wagah Border of India and Pakistan. The student team is being led by Senior teacher of school, Ms Savita Mall with Mr Amit Tiwari, teacher, as the deputy team leader. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma said that during this educational tour, CMS students will get a first hand experience of the vastness and beauty of the most picturesque locations of Chandigarh and Amritsar besides visiting historical landmarks like Jallianwala Bagh and Golden Temple in Amritsar and Wagah Border to attend the colourful Beating the Retreat and Flag Ceremony. They will also visit Lake Sukhna and Rock Garden etc. for sightseeing. This trip will be helpful in the intellectual and personality development of the students besides bringing them face to face with the unity in diversity in India. The delegation will return to Lucknow on 29th May.

        Mr Sharma informed that City Montessori School often sends its students on excursion to various parts of India and abroad especially during the vacations. These excursions are meant to enhance their general awareness, healthy entertainment and develop their global outlook. Mr Sharma said that modern advanced technologies have made the world a global village, thus it has become the need of the hour to make them aware of different cultures, traditions and diverse thoughts.
