CMS tops among the ten biggest schools of the world

Lucknow, 8 May : Lucknow’s City Montessori School (CMS) proudly reigns on top among the top ten biggest schools of the world. CMS is followed by other schools which are Schloss Salem School, Germany; De Kleine Kapitein School, Netherlands; Zilart School, Russia; Queen Ethelburga's College, United Kingdom; Terraset Elementary School, USA; International School, UAE; Charterhouse School, United Kingdom and Watershed School, USA.  The important thing is that CMS stands first not only in terms of area covered but also in terms of number of pupils and the high quality of education imparted. In the year 2001, CMS was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest school in the world on the strength of its pupils, and this record holds true even to this day. This ranking once again puts Lucknow on the world map as an educational hub.

            Elated by the ranking, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that City Montessori School started in the year 1959 on a borrowed capital of Rs 300/- only and a mere strength of five children.
