E-COFAS-2020 becomes a platform for showcasing scientific talents and creative skills

Lucknow, 29 November : On the third day of the 4-day International Computer Olympiad 'E-COFAS-2020' organized online by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I, an array of competitions was held. The students from Russia, Jordan, Bangladesh, Oman, Qatar and various states of India displayed their outstanding talents in Rendition (Paper Presentation); E-COFAS Doodle and Costek (Choreography) coupled with their artistic acumen. The events of the third day was full of happenings, science and art.

            In his keynote address, Mr Roshan Gandhi, Chief Executive Officer of CMS said that the theme and content of E-Cofas is very significant symbolically because international collaboration is required to stay safe. The participating students can make career in computer  field and cyber networking can help in solving global problems like environment, terrorism, aggression, nuclear proliferation etc. World unity is needed to tackle all these problems because these problems have no state, he said.

            The contests began with Rendition (Paper Presentation) competition wherein the participating teams presented meaningful thoughts on  the topic 'New Horizon of Energy Efficiency and E-Waste Minimization'. In a well-balanced and articulately organized points they explained that how development of the people of the whole world can be ensured by establishing balance between technical advancement and environment. Dina Diwari and Wafa Eslam of Jubilee School, Jordan presented their paper titled 'The World of Green Computing', Aditya Kukreti and Vanshika Jain of Indian School, Oman had prepared their paper under the title 'Green Computing - A New Future of Energy Efficiency' and Rafiul Alam and Jabir Al Mahdi of St. Gregory High School, Dhaka, Bangladesh including 10 teams of students also presented their papers. Similarly, in E-Cofas Doodle competition, the participating teams made beautiful doodles. They were judged for their creative thinking, innovative and artistic skills and knowledge of computer.

            Choreography Competition (Costek) was another attraction of today's competitions that unleashed the acting skills and creative talents of participating students. A group of five students each performed dance and music on the theme 'Illuminate'. On the one hand, the students of Pathania Public School, Rohtak showed their worries for environment and on the other hand, the students of DPS Kalyanpur, Kanpur awared everyone with their choreography about social media addiction. Likewise, the teams of students from various schools raised awareness on various burning issues with their power packed performance.

            Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS informed that this four day International Computer Olympiad 'E-COFAS-2020' is successfully proceeding towards its closure. This very interesting Olympiad will have its closing ceremony with prize distribution tomorrow on 30th November from 3.30 pm onwards.
