CMS students shine at Inter-school Yoga Competition

Lucknow, 2 November : Three talented students of City Montessori School, Asharfabad Campus namely Akshara Saxena (Class VII), Mohd. Haroon Gani (Class III) and Vanya Rastogi (Class VII) showed amazing performance at the Central Zone Yoga Sports Championship bringing kudos for the institution. Now these students will represent their school in state level yoga competition. Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS informed that this competition was organized jointly by UP Yoga Association, District Lucknow Yoga and SR Group of Institutions wherein these skilled students of CMS Asharfabad Campus secured their spots among the top ten performers. The students of several noted schools of Lucknow participated in this event and CMS students proved their mettle in a tough fray by showcasing various yogasanas, yogic actions and physical prowess.

               Mr Sharma informed that CMS encourages its students to pursue their fields of interest and therefore, CMS students regularly win national and international contests and bring glory for the institution. CMS believes that yoga is a part of our great cultural heritage and therefore, to keep younger generation informed about this cultural heritage is our responsibility to ensure building of a healthy and prosperous society.

CMS student excels in IGCSE (Cambridge Board) exams

Lucknow, June 2 : Anahita Singh, a student of City Montessor School, Cambridge International Section, has brought laurels for the school by getting 7 A*s and 3 As in the very competitive International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the Cambridge curriculum's equivalent of a grade-10 qualification.         Anahita says, "I had been hoping for a good score, but could never have imagines that I would get 7 A*s. It is definitely very reassuring. So yes, I am very happy, to say the least".         A deep fascination with learning has been at the very core of all Anahita's achievemnets. Government of India to award Rs 88 lakh INSPIRE Scholarship to 22 CMS students

Lucknow, 2 July : As many as 22 meritorious students of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I have been awarded the INSPIRE scholarship worth Rs. 88 lakhs by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, wherein each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh for five years. This scholarship will be given to CMS students to pursue higher studies in Science. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna further informed that each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh in five years (Rs 80,000/- per year), amounting to Rs 88 lakhs scholarship for all the 22 students.
