Grand inauguration of online International English Language Festival Melange 2021 at CMS


 Lucknow, 24 February : The 3-day International English Language Festival 'Melange 2021' organized by City Montessori School, Station Road Campus was inaugurated online in a  grand way today. Chief guest of the inaugural ceremony, well known educationist, Dr Amrita Das said in her address delivered on the occasion that English language has made a place for itself in the world and it is leading the world towards a new global culture. In today's changing global scenario, it is important that apart from their mother tongue, we make our children learn English language and literature. It may be mentioned that CMS Station Road Campus is organizing the 3-day Melange-2021 virtually in which various interesting language based competitions like Guess the Good Word, Tell-a-Tale, Monoact in Theatre, Turncoat in Poem and Just-a-Minute etc. are being organized for students of classes IV to VIII.

            The spectacular educational-cultural presentation of the virtual inauguration ceremony of Melange-2021 held earlier enchanted all. The ceremony began with the School Prayer followed by All Religions and World Unity Prayer. Besides, the students discussed various world problems in the brilliantly performed World Parliament on the occasion and found solutions to the complex issues which are common to all people of the world. The participants from India and abroad introduced themselves in style.

            In his address delivered on the occasion, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that we must accept the fact that English is the global link language and must therefore be given due importance. We must impart the highest quality of English education to our students with a view to bind the people of the world together and foster the bonds of unity. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Kingdon said that English is the most capable global language and it has been successful in promoting the CMS philosophy, the spirit of 'Jai Jagat', worldwide. She said that through its various international events, besides imparting the best of education to its students, CMS is also teaching world unity, peace and world citizenship to the children of various countries of the world. Convener of Melange-2021 and Principal of CMS Station Road Campus, Mrs Vera Hajela thanked all the participating students from India and abroad and wished for their bright future.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that the competitions of Melange-2021 will not only impart excellent knowledge of English language to students of various countries of the world but will also encourage them to accept the challenges happily by enhancing their morale and self confidence. Mr Sharma informed that the competitions of Melange-2021 will be held online on 26th and 27th February and will be broadcast live on the Zoom platform.
