Family plays a pivotal role in the development of society - Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya
Lucknow, 25 February : A grand online
'Family Unity Conference' was organized today by City Montessori School,
Rajajipuram Campus II. Chief Guest on this occasion, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya,
Deputy Chief Minister, UP, said in his inaugural address, that family plays a
pivotal role in social development. Family unity is the axis of social unity.
He further said that everybody needs unity, peace, happiness and prosperity
which actually originate from the smallest yet the most important unit of
social development, the family, and the dream of unity and peace can be
actualized only on the basis of family unity. All round development of a child
automatically takes place when the family lives happily in an atmosphere of
peace and unity and then the children become the pride of the society, he
added.
At
this virtual Family Unity Conference many eminent personalities poured out
their thoughts to make the young generation realize the importance of unity in
the family. Prize winners of various competitions held to mark the Family Unity
Conference, were also felicitated on the occasion. Students from Thailand,
Dubai, Sri Lanka, Russia and various states of India had shown active
participation in a series of interesting competitions viz. Le Costume
Deguise (Fancy Dress Competition), Waste-O-Mania (Model Making Competition),
Lineage (Photography Competition), Collais (Collage Making Competition) and
Musique (Singing Competition). Students of Vidyabharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya,
Jharkhand grabbed the Championship Trophy while Adarsh Public School,
Balinagar, New Delhi won the first Runner-up trophy and CMS Rajendra Nagar
Campus I won the second Runner-up trophy.
Earlier, the students of
CMS Rajajipuram Campus II delighted the viewers with an array of virtual
educational-cultural presentations, songs and dances based upon the theme of
unity, peace and love. The programme began with the school prayer, followed by
the All Religion Prayer and World Unity Prayer. Human and moral values were
extolled and inspiring songs, dances and many others were also highly
appreciated.
Speaking
on this occasion, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said
that Since
the inception of CMS, it has been our effort to prepare the young generation
for facing the challenges of the future besides imparting social, moral and
spiritual education to them. CMS President and Managing-Director, Professor
Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that the foundation of the world family can only
be laid down by connecting children with family, parents and teachers. If the
family is strong then the society and country will also be strong and the world
will progress. Convenor of Family Unity Conference, Ms Poonam Arora,
Principal, CMS, Rajajipuram Campus II thanked the parents and guardians for
their cooperation and all the guests, students and teachers for their wonderful
participation in the event.
