2nd day of International Cultural Olympiad Celesta International-2020


 

Lucknow, 15 October :  On the second day of the four-day International Cultural Olympiad 'Celesta International-2020' organized online by City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I, the participating teams from USA, Russia, Bangladesh, Dubai, Oman, Saudi Arab, Nepal and various states of India poured in their artistic and creative talents in Traditional Folk Dance, Instrumental Music, Free Style/Hip Hop Dancing and Poetry recitation. It may be mentioned here that Celesta International-2020 is being organized online from 14 to 17 October in which students from India and abroad are displaying their talents and skills through different contests.

            The competitions of the 2nd day of 'Celesta International-2020' began with 'Poetry Recitation' in which the participants enthusiastically recited wonderful poems. There were ten finalists in it chosen on the basis of votes submitted for them on their online presentation and points given to them by the judges on their presentation, pronunciation, clarity and other standards. In Free-style/Hip Hop Dancing event Sunaina pal, Muhammad Mustakfee Abbasi, Ritesh Poudel, Kalika Rajput, Harshit Rai, Krishna Mehrotra and Saksham Parvakar were especially lauded for their performance.

            Special attraction of the competition was Traditional Folk Dance in which ten finalists were selected from among the 45 participants on their online presentation for this contest. Each and every participant put their soul and heart in their performance and won the judges' praises. Similarly, the viewers and judges of the Instrumental Music Contest were all praises for the participants. Their items were based on brotherhood and patriotism carried out on various musical instruments and they displayed that music has the power to infuse energy in mankind.

            Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, informed that the talents shown by the participants at the Celesta International-2020 show that music and dance connect us to God and music has more significance in spiritual education and it is not merely for merriment. The competitions will continue tomorrow, on 16 October that will include Jingle, Stand-Up Comedy, Solo Singing and Celesta Got Talents, informed Mr Sharma.
