Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya inaugurates Celesta International-2020
Lucknow, 14 October : The four-day International Cultural Olympiad 'Celesta International-2020' organized by City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I, got opened today evening by the Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya. The opening ceremony glittered with the glorious online presence of approximately 55 participating teams of USA, Russia, Bangladesh, Dubai, Oman, Saudi Arab, Nepal and various states of India and presentation of educational-cultural items in their honour. It may be mentioned here that Celesta International-2020 is organized online from 14 to 17 October with the competitions of Traditional Folk Dance, Instrumental Music, Solo Singing, Mask Designing, Celesta Got Talent, Jingle, Free Style/Hip Hop Dancing, Stand-up Comedy and Poetry recitation etc for the students to display their talents.

Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister, UP, said in his inaugural address that I congratulate CMS Aliganj
Campus for organizing a wonderful programme online in this period of Corona
pandemic and giving students a global platform for cultural and literary
activities. This is a unique effort that will help in establishing unity, peace
and cordiality in the world. CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr
Jagdish Gandhi said on this occasion that CMS is trying to teach children
the sentiments of unity, tolerance, love and peace through this Olympiad.
Ahead of it, the Convenor of
Celesta International-2020 and Senior Principal of CMS Aliganj Campus I, Mrs
Jyoti Kashyap welcomed the Chief Guest, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya,
dignified guests and the participating teams and spoke that this Olympiad is
organized for holistic development of students especially their humanistic and
spiritual concept. The programme began with School Prayer, Welcome Dance,
Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam, World Unity Prayer, All Religion Prayer and Prayer Dance
that mesmerized one and all.
Speaking on this occasion, CMS
President and Managing-Director, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that music
and dance are not only meant for recreation, it can also mould the thinking,
views and concepts of people. Such creative events are needed now for social
growth. Chief Executive Officer of CMS, Mr Roshan Gandhi said that students'
talents will shine during Celesta which is also an international forum to
promote friendship and cordiality among the students of different countries. CMS
Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Bharti Gandhi showered her blessings
on the participating teams with words of encouragement. The opening ceremony
concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by the Principal and Co-convenor of
Celesta International, Mrs Shivani Singh.
Chief Public Relations Officer of
CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that the competitions of Celesta
International-2020 will commence tomorrow at 10.00 am. Tomorrow, on 15 October,
Thursday, the competitions like Poetry Recitation, Free Style/Hip Hop Dancing,
Traditional Folk Dance and Instrumental Music will be held.
