Two-day online International Primary Mathematics Convention (IPMC-2020) concludes in CMS

 

Lucknow, 24 August : A two-day online International Primary Mathematics Convention (IPMC-2020) organized by City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I has concluded. 4 International teams, 3 national teams and 20 local teams of students from several schools very enthusiastically participated in this international competition to explore their talents in Mathematics. The competition was held for the primary students. Chief Guest, Mr Pankaj Kumar, DGM, NTPC blessed all the participants on the occasion of closing ceremony whereas CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and Director of Strategy of CMS, Mr Roshan Gandhi were also present to encourage the participants of India and abroad.

               The first round of competition covered multiple choice questions on various branches of Mathematics. 27 teams of students participated in the first round but only six teams of India and abroad reached into final round and these teams were Delhi Public School, Sharjah; Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura, Delhi; Delhi Public School, Jankipuram, Lucknow; CMS Station Road Campus; CMS Indira Nagar Campus and CMS Aliganj Campus II who were very fast and quick in replying in the final round leaving everyone awestruck. Students' enthusiasm, knowledge and intelligence was worth watching and the solution of top three teams was done with the help of tie-breaker. CMS Aliganj Campus II team became first, Delhi Public School, Jankipuram stood second and CMS Station Road Campus team became third. Teams were awarded certificate.

               Mrs. Abha Anant, Convener of IPMC-2020 and Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I thanked one and all for participation.
