CMS student facilitates employment for jobless using technology in times of Corona

Lucknow, 25 August : Saarth Shah, a very sensitive Class XII student of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I, has put his best foot forward to help the unemployed workers, who have lost their jobs during Corona pandemic. He has helped about 500 unemployed workers so far to get them employed with the use of technology. When thousands have lost their jobs in the time of Corona pandemic, it is really commendable that youths have felt the pain and came forward to help them. CMS President Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon congratulated Saarth for being helpful to job seekers and said that CMS is better known for it's students being excellent in academics and pioneer of social services. Mrs Abha Anant, Principal of CMS Gomti  Nagar Campus I expressed profound happiness for this philanthropic act of Saarth.

Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS informed that due to losing jobs and the subsequent suffering of labours on Corona pandemic, this thoughtful  CMS student decided to help them.  Initially, he built a database of around 500 such workers who had lost their jobs, out of which around 160 were on the verge of starvation because they had no money to fend for themselves and their family. He then built a website http://www.joininghelpinghands.com and uploaded this database along with the phone numbers of the needy onto it. He advertised his website through his social media handles like Facebook and Whatsapp. Gradually, his efforts started to bear fruits when people started employing these workers.

Mr Sharma informed that Saarth, in an informal talk said that he does not expect any gain for himself through this activity and the greatest joy and reward comes to him when these workers thank him for helping them get employment. A science student of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus 1, Saarth expects more like-minded young people to come forward and help those in need around them.
