Zoya of CMS awarded as Nature Warrior


Lucknow, 19 July : Zoya Shameem, a talented student of Class IX, City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I has been honoured with the title of ‘Nature Warrior’ for her outstanding abilities and efforts in the conservation of Mother Nature. Zoya delivered the Best Performance in the Quiz Contest and exhibited an astounding amount of knowledge at an Environmental Quiz Contest organized at national level by Integral University, Lucknow. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of City Montessori School, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma said that the CMS student left an indelible stamp of her genius and concern for Mother Nature at this quiz competition especially in regard to the growing problems of the environment today i.e. global warming, climate change, environmental degradation, pollution, fall in level of groundwater and other such issues. Zoya answered even the toughest of questions at this quiz with great alacrity and knowledgeable concern. She further advocated the wise use of natural resources of the earth and appealed for their conservation. The organizers of the competition were amazed with her wide ranging knowledge and enthusiasm to promote natural conservation and rewarded her efforts with Certificate of Merit and the ‘Nature Warrior’ Award. CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi showered praise on this talented student and wished her a bright future ahead.

            Mr Sharma further stated that CMS is committed to raising pupils who are environmentally conscious besides spreading a culture of excellence in all things. CMS students are eloquent in giving expression to their thoughts on environment, energy and water conservation and cleansing society of social evils. Events are organized by the school to bring out the talents of students and encourage their creativity through essays, paintings, debates and discussion. The idea is to prepare world citizens who can confidently face the challenges of the future and lead the world for a better tomorrow.
