Grand Rally by CMS students calling for a Green and Thriving Earth

Lucknow, July 5: Celebrating the ongoing Van Mahotsav Week, students of City Montessori Rajendra Nagar Campus II took out a huge Rally this morning to arouse the consciousness of the children, youth and adults regarding the earth and its environment. The students called upon the public to use their maximum energy and resources for the service of Mother Earth so that our planet blooms with greenery and life including various species of flora and fauna. All sections of society must come together in this Green Revolution and contribute their bit to making the earth a safe and happy place for the present and future generations. The children made huge posters and raised slogans with banners on environmental protection and conservation of the earth and its resources. Some of the slogans raised by students were 'Create Forests-Save Life', 'Life is a gift of God, live it well,' 'Say No to Plastic Bags', 'Join the Green Revolution', etc. They then took a pledge to work in this direction and planted saplings at the Jai Jagat Park adjoining the School They specially planted trees which would bear sweet smelling flowers and delicious fruit for both birds and animals.

             Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Ms Priyanka Agarwal, said that such Marches and environmental activities create an awareness amongst the students regarding earth conservation, increase the knowledge and promote self-confidence amongst students and instill in them a love for nature and our environment. She expressed the hope that this collective action of the students will bring about a positive change in society and the message of caring for our earth and will go a long way in making the planet a happy place for future generations.

             Chief Public Relations Officer of City Montessori School, Mr Hari Om Sharma said that various CMS Campuses are involved in organizing skits, poem recitations, essay writing contests, painting and poster contests, collage making, tree plantation, debates, discussion, rallies and marches during the Van Mahotsav Week from 1st to 7th July 2023 and creating social awareness in this direction. Such efforts have always been on the CMS agenda. It is the aim of the school to develop environmental projects in the school community as well as the society in general.
