City girl earns Rs. 5,00,000 scholarship for Global MBA at University of East London


 Lucknow, 24 April : Sadiya Javed, an alumna of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I has earned a Global MBA from the University of East London, UK with a scholarship of INR 5,00,000. She has thus brought pride to the city of Lucknow by earning this prestigious honour on the basis of her social work in India and her unparalleled academic record. Sadiya has worked with NGOs like 'Farishtey' and has been a volunteer member of Shrishtipath, an NGO that focuses mainly on uplifting the weaker sections of society. Sadiya credited this success to the peaceful and motivational environment of CMS and its teachers. CMS President Prof. Geeta Kingdon expressed great happiness over the success of this talented CMS student and wished her a bright future. Prof. Kingdon also thanked Principal and teachers of CMS Gomti Nagar Camps I whose hard work, encouragement and guidance have helped the students of the school reach new heights of academic excellence year after year.

              Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that each year more than 100 CMS students are offered admissions in the top universities of the world. This year already, over 50 CMS students have been offered admissions in the top universities of the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Germany, etc., most of them on scholarships. He further added that CMS makes consistent efforts to expand students' horizons and provide them opportunities, facilitating their studies in top institutions of higher education both in India and abroad. CMS is the only SAT and Advanced Placement (AP) exam test center in Uttar Pradesh, which enables students of U.P. and other surrounding states to apply for higher studies in the best universities abroad on generous scholarships. Prior to this, students of UP who wished to study abroad had to travel to Delhi to find a SAT exam center.
