Develop scientific, humane and global outlook in students right from the beginning - Dr Dinesh Sharma

 Lucknow, 1 March : Speaking at the closing and prize distribution ceremony of the 2-day online Science and Computer Festival 'Vista 2021' organized by City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus I to mark the National Science Day, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dr Dinesh Sharma called upon teachers and parents to develop scientific, human and global outlook in students from the very beginning. We can not tread on the path of development without science. Praising CMS for organizing Vista 2021 to mark the National Science Day, he said that this type of science festival has an important role in developing a global outlook in the younger generation.

            The winners of various competitions of Vista 2021 were honoured on the occasion amidst a colourful educational-cultural presentation at the closing ceremony. In non-working model category of Nuts and Bolts Model Making Competition, Kaustubh Gupta of W.H. Smith Memorial School won the first prize while in working model category, Devagya Srivastava of CMS Mahanagar Campus won the first prize. Similarly, the first prize of The Fast and Furious Quiz Competition went to team of CMS Aliganj Campus I comprising Satyam Jena and Archit Srivastava. In Technowiz competition, Himanshu Singh of CMS Aliganj Campus II and Nooriya Abidi of CMS Jopling Road Campus emerged as the winners of the first prize jointly.

            While blessing the participating students of Vista 2021, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that through their participation in various competitions at this event, the students have given us a glimpse of their global outlook and creative potential and shown that they are capable of creating a New World Order. He said that the time has come for the student community worldwide to come together and bind the world with a cord of unity because the responsibility of the creation of an ideal world society lies upon these young shoulders. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Kingdon said that only a humanistic scientific outlook can bring about a creative change in society. Inspired by this idea, CMS has been developing a global outlook in its students.

            Senior Principal of CMS Aliganj Campus I, Mrs Jyoti Kashap said that in this 2-day Science and Computer Festival, students not only demonstrated their knowledge of science but also exhibited their awareness of their responsibilities towards the well-being of the earth and its people. Principal of CMS Aliganj Campus I, Mrs Shivani Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude towards one and all.

CMS student excels in IGCSE (Cambridge Board) exams

Lucknow, June 2 : Anahita Singh, a student of City Montessor School, Cambridge International Section, has brought laurels for the school by getting 7 A*s and 3 As in the very competitive International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the Cambridge curriculum's equivalent of a grade-10 qualification.         Anahita says, "I had been hoping for a good score, but could never have imagines that I would get 7 A*s. Government of India to award Rs 88 lakh INSPIRE Scholarship to 22 CMS students

Lucknow, 2 July : As many as 22 meritorious students of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I have been awarded the INSPIRE scholarship worth Rs. 88 lakhs by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, wherein each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh for five years. This scholarship will be given to CMS students to pursue higher studies in Science. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna further informed that each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh in five years (Rs 80,000/- per year), amounting to Rs 88 lakhs scholarship for all the 22 students.
