CMS teacher becomes National Topper in CENTA Teaching Professional Olympiad


 Lucknow, March 14: Mrs Shilpi Agarwal, a teacher of Computer Science at  City Montessori School, Cambridge International Section, Gomti Nagar Campus II, has put city of Lucknow on the National map of excellence by securing the position of National topper in the prestigious CENTA Teaching Professional Olympiad. For this outstanding achievement, she has been awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with a citation from Reliance Foundation. She will be profiled in world famous education magazine 'Education World' and will receive Tech Mahindra premium Tech training and a Certification of excellence from University of Buckingham as well as a 2-week mentorship programme with the University.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that CENTA Teaching Professional Olympiad is a substantiation for teaching excellence and it is appreciated in the whole country.  This olympiad was organized under the aegis of Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) in which teachers from over 10,000 schools across the country participated. Mr Sharma further informed that the Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) organizes Teaching Professionals Olympiad (TPO) every year with the aim to encourage teachers for developing their extra-curricular skills and talents. At this unique contest, the teachers are selected on the basis of their proficiency in subjects, experience and high academic standards. Thus, the acumen of teachers is assessed and developed accordingly to channelize it for extra-curricular activities and thus improve their efficiency manifold.
