Meritorious CMS students honoured in a grand ceremony

Lucknow, August 8 : City Montessori School organised a grand 'Meritorious Students Felicitation Function' at CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus auditorium to honour its meritorious students who brought glory to the school with outstanding academic performance. Chief Guest of the occasion, CMS alumnus
Mr Aditya Srivastava, who had brought laurels to Lucknow by securing All India Rank 1 in the Civil Service examination this year, lit the lamp to formally inaugurate the function. Ms. Shalini Chaturvedi, Manager, Programmes, WaterAid India, graced the function as the special guest.

             Addressing CMS students on this occasion, Mr. Aditya Shrivastava, IAS, said that there is no alternative to moral values for moving ahead in life and achieving success because life values and excellence in character are the true strengths that shape your personality. At a time when the world has become a global village, life values and character-building assume even more importance over everything else. A special treat to his juniors was Mr. Aditya Srivastava's inspiring interaction and question-answer session with the current CMS students present at the ceremony. Special guest Ms. Shalini Chaturvedi said in her address that the responsibility of bringing about constructive change in society lies on the shoulders of the future generation. She commended CMS for its commitment to making children responsible citizens of society.

             The main attraction of the felicitation ceremony was the felicitation of CMS Kanpur Road Campus student Atharv Sinha, his parents and teacher-guardian. Atharv has secured highest 94.62% marks in the 1st inter-campus Comparative ISC (Class-12) Examination. On this occasion, Atharva's mother was honoured by being weighed in fruits and flowers and his father and teacher guardian were presented with shawls. Apart from this, the top ten position holders and campus toppers of the Inter-campus 1st Comparative Examination, and those who had brought name and fame to the city of Lucknow in various competitions were also honoured and felicitated.

             Addressing the brilliant students of the school on this occasion, CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that this ceremony is dedicated to the students' achievements and wishes them a bright future. She expressed delight that CMS students are enhancing the pride of Lucknow on global stage with their talent and intellect. She advised the students to be courageous even in adverse circumstances and focus on achieving their goals. She advised the students to choose careers that will help them bring about constructive changes in society.

             Before this, the Superior Principal and Head of CMS Quality Education and Innovation Department, Ms. Sushmita Ghose, extended a warm welcome to the brilliant students and teachers and recounted the school's achievements over the year. On this occasion, Ms. Surabhi Sanghi, Representative from Ashoka University; Mr. Vikram Patel, Representative from Plaksha University and CMS students, Mr Devesh Lathi, who received the Next Genius Scholarship and Harshita Tripathi, the CUET-2024 topper, motivated the students to achieve higher success. Besides, CMS students mesmerized everyone with their beautiful presentation of Vande Mataram, welcome song, All Religion Prayer, prayer dance and choreography presented at the ceremony. In the end, CMS Founder-Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi blessed the brilliant students and teachers of the school.

             Before the felicitation ceremony, thousands of CMS led by Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, took out a huge 'Character Building March' this morning from Maqdoompur Police Station in Gomti Nagar Extension to CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II auditorium raising their voices for character building of the future generation.
