Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh inaugurates Odyssey International

Lucknow, 31 August : 'Odyssey International-2024', a 4-day International Literary Festival organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus I was inaugurated today in a grand fashion amidst scintillating educational-cultural items at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Chief Guest, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, UP, ceremonially inaugurated the festival by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Shri Singh called upon the students to realize the importance of English language which has acquired a global status and is universally recognized as the undisputed language of communication, taking us speedily towards a World Civilization which will bind the human race together. In view of its immense use and applicability, parents all over the world should teach their children their own mother tongue as well as the global language, English. It is worth mentioning here that 'Odyssey International-2024' is being organized from 31st August to 3rd September at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, wherein around 500 students and experts from the USA, UK, Russia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and various states of India are participating.

            At the inaugural ceremony, CMS students enchanted the audience with educational and cultural programs featuring Indian folk songs, while participating students from different countries won hearts by introducing themselves in a warm and unique manner. On this occasion, while welcoming the participating students and team leaders from India and abroad, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that CMS has been committed to world unity and world peace since its inception, and this festival is another step in these efforts. She expressed confidence that this international festival will enrich the younger generation intellectually and play a significant role in the creation of a society full of unity and peace. The Convener of 'Odyssey International-2024' and Senior Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs. Nisha Pandey, stated that 'Odyssey' is a quest, a journey through which we are attempting to discover and bring out the hidden talents of the students.

            Earlier this afternoon, a press conference was held where participating students from various countries unanimously stated that this literary festival is a unique confluence of different civilizations, cultures, and ideas. Here, we will not only expand our knowledge but also spread the ideas of unity and peace throughout the world. Students from Apex School, Nepal, said that this festival will provide us with an excellent opportunity to learn about the culture and civilization of different countries, which will awaken a sense of brotherhood. Students from Motherland English Secondary Boarding School, Nepal, said that they are excited to participate in the competitions of this literary festival. The atmosphere at CMS is very cordial, and we are very happy to be here. Similarly, participating students from different countries also expressed their enthusiasm to take part in 'Odyssey International' and exchange ideas.

CMS student excels in IGCSE (Cambridge Board) exams

Lucknow, June 2 : Anahita Singh, a student of City Montessor School, Cambridge International Section, has brought laurels for the school by getting 7 A*s and 3 As in the very competitive International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), the Cambridge curriculum's equivalent of a grade-10 qualification.         Anahita says, "I had been hoping for a good score, but could never have imagines that I would get 7 A*s. Government of India to award Rs 88 lakh INSPIRE Scholarship to 22 CMS students

Lucknow, 2 July : As many as 22 meritorious students of City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I have been awarded the INSPIRE scholarship worth Rs. 88 lakhs by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, wherein each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh for five years. This scholarship will be given to CMS students to pursue higher studies in Science. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna further informed that each student will be getting Rs. 4 lakh in five years (Rs 80,000/- per year), amounting to Rs 88 lakhs scholarship for all the 22 students.
