CMS Students celebrate Van Mahotsav, Spread the message of Clean and Green Earth

Lucknow, July 4 : Students of all the 21 campuses of City Montessori School celebrated the Van Mahotsav (July 1 to 7) with joy and gaiety by involving themselves in various creative activities relating to the environment and its conservation and sending the message of keeping the earth, fresh, green and thriving with plant and animal life. While on one hand, CMS Asharfabad and other CMS Campuses showed their commitment to protection of forests and greenery by planting trees, on the other hand they created awareness about making the Earth Clean and Green through poster-making, slogan writing, collage making, poetry writing and other creative mediums. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna said that today, students celebrated International Plastic Bag Free Day with great enthusiasm and made a strong appeal to the public to use paper bags instead of plastic bags. They made society members aware of the dangers of plastic pollution and stressed on the importance of the adage, “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.”

            Mr Khanna informed that City Montessori School is an institution that has been spreading the message 'Paryavaran Ko Bachao, Dharti Ko Sajao' to save the environment by motivating the students, parents and teachers to embrace greenery and adopt a natural and healthy lifestyle through its 63,000 students. Mr Khanna further said that CMS has always initiated Marches and organized social awakening programmes which have yielded fruitful results. CMS students are excellent in academics and at the same time socially conscious individuals. CMS endeavours to make its students understand the importance of environment conservation so that not only the present generation but also future generations breathe in fresh air and enjoy a long and healthy life.
