Lucknow, July 4 : Students of all
the 21 campuses of City Montessori School celebrated the Van Mahotsav (July 1
to 7) with joy and gaiety by involving themselves in various creative
activities relating to the environment and its conservation and sending the
message of keeping the earth, fresh, green and thriving with plant and animal
life. While on one hand, CMS Asharfabad and other CMS Campuses showed their
commitment to protection of forests and greenery by planting trees, on the
other hand they created awareness about making the Earth Clean and Green through
poster-making, slogan writing, collage making, poetry writing and other
creative mediums. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of
CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna said that today, students celebrated
International Plastic Bag Free Day with great enthusiasm and made a strong
appeal to the public to use paper bags instead of plastic bags. They made
society members aware of the dangers of plastic pollution and stressed on the
importance of the adage, “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.”
Mr
Khanna informed that City Montessori School is an institution that has been
spreading the message 'Paryavaran Ko Bachao, Dharti Ko Sajao' to save the
environment by motivating the students, parents and teachers to embrace
greenery and adopt a natural and healthy lifestyle through its 63,000 students.
Mr Khanna further said that CMS has always initiated Marches and organized
social awakening programmes which have yielded fruitful results. CMS students
are excellent in academics and at the same time socially conscious individuals.
CMS endeavours to make its students understand the importance of environment
conservation so that not only the present generation but also future
generations breathe in fresh air and enjoy a long and healthy life.
