There is no other like the Children’s Film Festival at CMS — Ms Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Actress

Lucknow, April 15 : Around 15,000 students, parents and teachers arrived here today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium to derive inspiration from children's educational films from 104 countries at the 12th International Children's Film Festival (ICFF-2023) being held here.  Ahead of this, the 6th day of ICFF-2023 began with lighting the lamp ceremony. On this occasion, Actress Ms Rajeshwari Sachdeva and Actor Mr Varun Badola motivated the students to see good children's films. Addressing the gathering, Ms Rajeshwari Sachdeva, actress, said that the festival is great not only because of the number of films and number of children seeing them, but also for the values being imparted through the children's films which add weightage to the festival.

            Screening of films on the  6th day of ICFF-2023 began with  children's educational  film 'Teacher Chang's Sunny Day' directed by Hao Luo of China. Apart from the main auditorium, seven other mini auditoriums of the CMS Kanpur Road were full of children who enjoyed the films The Hot Stone, The Knife Demon Legend, Bird Keeper, Spark of Life, My neighbour's dress, A Teacher's Lesson, The First Letter, Sabak, Don't touch, Virasat, Keep on Living, Naukari Ya Vayavsay, I'm not Afraid, My Father Superhero, A Firecracker, A phone call, Wonderfully Made, Twinkle Little Star, Come Come Rain, Anokha Pitara, Gulab Gul, Dharavi To Bollywood etc.

            Actress Ms Rajeshwari Sachdeva and Actor Mr Varun Badola met the journalists at a press conference held here this afternoon at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. On this occasion, actress Ms Rajeshwari said that everything cannot be learnt from books, but the educational films of various countries that children see in this festival have various shades of life that will help children in making correct judgements and good choices. Actor Mr Varun Badola was pleased that educational films of various nations were being shown here which inculcate new ideas and innovative thinking among the young generation. Chairman of the Children's Film Festival, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, said that this festival was truly significant as it inspires the students, especially youth, to learn about character building and universal values.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that the Award Ceremony of ICFF-2023 will be held tomorrow on Sunday, 16th April at 9.00 am wherein cash prizes of Rs. 10 Lakhs will be given to the Best Children's Films under different categories.
