CMS student selected to the Google Summer of Code 2020 Project


Lucknow, May 8 : Mritunjay Sharma, a brilliant student of the Station Road Campus of City Montessori School has been selected to participate in the Google Summer of Code 2020 project which is administered from the Corporate Headquarters of Google Inc. located in Mountain View, California, USA.
            Mritunjay will spend 30+ hours of weekly working on the RTEMS (Real Time Executive for Multiprocessor Systems) as a Student Developer from June 1, 2020 to August 24, 2020, developing an open source software for RTEMS Project. RTEMS are used in many application domains, for example, the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) community includes a number of developers who are active RTEMS submitter. RTEMS is also popular for space uses since it supports multiple microprocessors developed for use in space and recent applications can be seen in the currently orbiting NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and the European Space Agency Trace Gas Orbiter.
            Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS said that humanity will prosper  when science responds to societal needs and global challenges, and therefore, at CMS, it is strongly believed that since science is one of the most important channels of knowledge. He further said that Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Founder-Manager of CMS, always stresses upon the importance of teaching students that the application of science must be for the benefit  of our society by creating new learning experiences, improving education and increasing the quality of our lives.
            In these days of the lockdown, CMS has brought the classroom into the homes of the students with some very effective and innovative online teaching, through a number of latest and proven online learning platforms and technology.
