Lucknow girl bags four medals in National Aerobics Championship

Lucknow, June 11: Noora Inayati, a keen sportswoman of Cambridge International of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Extension Campus is all set to make her mark at international level. This Class VIII student has won four silver medals in various fixtures at the 14th National Aerobics Federation Cup held in Agra and has been awarded the Runner-Up Trophy, thus bringing glory to the city of Lucknow. With this outstanding achievement, Noora Inayati won a place for herself in the National team and will be representing the nation at the Asian Championship to be held in Bangkok, Thailand in August. This information was given by the Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. Mr Khanna said that Noora Inayati has shown outstanding ability, flexibility and agility on the sports field which has led her to win four silver medals in various fixtures namely, individual category, trio sports aerobics, petite sports aerobics and fitness aerobics in the Under 14 category. The organizers were highly impressed with Noora’s ability and she was awarded the overall runner-up trophy in aerobics and chosen to represent the country at international level. CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon congratulated Noora and wished a bright and happy future.

            Mr Khanna stated that CMS students are not only trained to excel in their prescribed subjects but also to win medals in co-curricular activities and games and sports at national and international level. The school is committed to bringing about a culture of excellence in all things in the younger generation and prepares them for greater challenges ahead.
