Govt of India awards Rs. 44 lakh scholarship to 11 CMS students

6 June : As many as 11 meritorious students of City Montessori School, Kanpur
Road Campus have been awarded a scholarship of Rs 44 lakh by the Ministry of
Science and Technology, Government of India, wherein each student will be
getting Rs 4 lakh. The CMS students who have been shortlisted for this
scholarship comprise Viraj Singh, Hasit Rajput, Jay Mishra, Soumya Deshmukh,
Aakarsh Srivastava, Abhishek Gupta, Palak Yadav, Shreya Nath Gautam, Tanmay
Singh, Aviraj Duggal and Prakhar Sahai. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon
congratulated all these students for their outstanding achievement and wished
them success in their future endeavours. This information was given by the
Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Rishi Khanna. He added that this
scholarship will be given to CMS students to pursue their higher studies in
science. These students give credit for their tremendous success to their
parents, teachers and the peaceful and divine atmosphere of CMS.
Mr Khanna further informed that each
student will be getting Rs 80,000/- per year for five years, thus a total of Rs
4 lakh each, amounting to Rs 44 lakh scholarship for all the 11 students. Mr
Khanna further stated that these outstanding students of CMS Kanpur Road Campus
have performed excellently in the ISC (Class XII) Board Examination-2024 and
secured a place among the "Top 1%" merit list which has made them
eligible for this prestigious scholarship.
