Two CMS students find place in Ranji Trophy Team


 

Lucknow, 13 January : Two talented students of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus namely, Vipul Krishna and Sahab Yuvraj Singh have shown exceptional cricket playing abilities and secured their place in the prestigious Ranji Trophy Tournament, thus adding name and fame to the city of Lucknow.Whilst on one hand, Vipul Krishna of CMS playing from Bihar state has qualified as a left arm medium pace bowler, on the other hand, Sahab Yuvraj Singh has won hearts playing from the Indian Railways as a Right hand batsman and Right arm medium pacer in the Ranji Trophy. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma stated that these two brilliant students have practised their sports skills along with their studies, not compromising with either. They have brought fame to Lucknow by proving their excellence on the cricket pitch and continuously worked hard with full zeal and honesty to the sport. They are keen to raise the country’s flag high in this field.

            Mr Sharma further informed that Vipul Krishna started playing in the Indian School Cricket Premier League (ISCPL) organized by CMS Kanpur Road Campus and showed his class in the ASISC National Cricket Championship, Cricket Championship organized by the Sports Authority of India and National Cricket Championship organized by CISCE where his talent was recognized and further polished by experts. Due to his extraordinary cricketing feats, Vipul was selected for the National Camp. Now after intense training, he aims for selection in the Indian National Cricket Team. Presently, Vipul is in Mumbai as a net bowler in Mumbai Indians Team. Similarly, Sahab Yuvraj Singh has represented Uttar Pradesh in C.K. Naidu Cricket Tournament and also represented Delhi University and also participated in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Cricket Camp. Currently, Sahab Yuvraj Singh plays for the Indian Railways. Mr Sharma informed that CMS provides special coaching to its talented sportspersons through well qualified and experienced sports coaches leading them to realize their dreams of making it big at national and international level.
