Grand Celebration of the ‘Annual Function’ by CMS Gomti Nagar Cambridge Section

Lucknow, 19 November : The Cambridge International Section of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Extension Campus, organized its ‘Annual Function’ today in the school auditorium. The multifaceted talents and innocent charm of the children, showcased through song and dance, delighted the parents in attendance. The large gathering of parents cheered enthusiastically for their young ones, who reciprocated with heartfelt performances. The event was formally inaugurated by CMS Founder-Director and renowned educationist, Dr. Bharti Gandhi by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Several dignitaries, including CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, graced the occasion with their presence, encouraging the students with their support.

          Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr. Bharti Gandhi emphasized that CMS is committed to nurturing responsible, thoughtful, creative, and dutiful global citizens. She remarked that the Cambridge Section plays a pivotal role in fulfilling this mission. She expressed pride in the multifaceted talents of CMS Cambridge students, who have made their mark on the global stage. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon praised the unique curriculum and teaching methods of Cambridge, which provide students with clear conceptual understanding and in-depth knowledge of subjects, paving the way for global success. She expressed confidence that these talented students would make the nation proud on international platforms in the future.

          The function began with a melodious ‘School Prayer’ performed by the students' mothers, followed by interfaith prayers and a moving ‘World Peace Prayer’ that resonated with the theme of global harmony. The event featured a spectrum of vibrant performances, including band presentations, skits, drills, and the captivating "Starlight Band," which left the audience spellbound. The highlight of the event was the presentation of the ‘World Parliament,’ based on the theme Summit of the Future, which garnered immense attention and appreciation. Another major attraction was the felicitation ceremony for Cambridge Section students, where meritorious students were publicly honored with certificates of appreciation.


            Ms. Manjit Batra, Senior Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus, said that in the era of globalization, the Cambridge Section at CMS plays a significant role in shaping future leaders for the world. She expressed her delight in seeing parents actively engaged in securing their children’s bright futures and showing keen interest in the Cambridge curriculum. Mrs. Sangeeta Banerjee, Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents and stated that the school’s mission to nurture good and smart individuals can only be accomplished with their cooperation.
