Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya extends a warm welcome to Chief Justices and renowned dignitaries of 56 countries


 

Lucknow, 21 November : Deputy Chief Minister of UP, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, extended a warm welcome as the Chief Guest to Chief Justices, judges, legal luminaries and eminent dignitaries from 56 countries including Presidents, Prime Ministers, Speakers of Parliaments and Judges of the International Court of Justice. They have arrived here at Lucknow to participate in the '25th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World', organized by City Montessori School. In his address on this occasion, Mr. Maurya said that the presence of distinguished legal luminaries from around the globe has not only illuminated Lucknow's pride on the world stage but also conveyed the message that there is no alternative to unity and peace, which are the cornerstones of a bright future for the coming generations. The International Conference of Chief Justices of the World will be held from November 22 to 24 at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Based on Article 51 of the Indian Constitution, this historic conference is dedicated to World Unity, World Peace, and a safe and secure future for over 2.5 billion children worldwide. This year, the conference is on the theme 'Governance for the Future'.

            Earlier, under the leadership of CMS Manager and Convenor of the conference, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, CMS students, teachers, and principals extended a grand welcome to the dignitaries upon their arrival at the CMS Rajajipuram Campus I. They were greeted with the tunes of a marching band and garlands as they set foot on Lucknow's soil. Prof. Kingdon said on this occasion that this historic conference would successfully unite the world and guide the global community towards ensuring a promising future for the world's 2.5 billion children. Senior Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs. Nisha Pandey, while welcoming the jurists and legal experts, stated that this conference will play a pivotal role in raising awareness about children's rights across the world.

            A special highlight of the welcome ceremony was the “Dandiya Night” organized by CMS Rajajipuram Campus I in honour of these eminent personalities. On this occasion, CMS students and teachers came together to perform a collective dandiya dance, filling the atmosphere with joy and excitement. Additionally, the students presented an array of colorful educational and cultural programs, leaving everyone spellbound. The enthusiasm of the distinguished guests during the Dandiya Night was remarkable. This celebration proved to be an extraordinary opportunity to promote unity, peace, and harmony within society.

            Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS, informed that before arriving in Lucknow, more than 200 Chief Justices, jurists, and dignitaries from 56 countries visited the world-famous Taj Mahal and other historic monuments in Agra, appreciating India's cultural heritage. Mr. Khanna also informed that the formal inauguration of this historic conference will take place tomorrow, November 22, Friday at 9.00 am at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Hon’ble Yogi Adityanath, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion while Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Brajesh Pathak will be the Guest of Honour. Furthermore, a “Welcome Ceremony” will be held on November 22, Friday, at 5:30 pm at the CMS Kanpur Road Campus premises in honour of the Chief Justices and distinguished guests from various countries. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Ms. Anupriya Patel, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Lucknow Mayor Mrs. Sushma Kharkwal will be the Guest of Honor.
