Cricket matches of ISCL to begin on January 27


 

Lucknow, 25 January : Cricket matches of the 6-day International School Cricket League (ISCL-2023), organized by City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus is starting on 27 January, however, the league will be formally opened on 28 January at 4:00 PM at the CMS Kanpur Road Campus. The Vice President of the Indian Cricket Control Board, Mr Rajiv Shukla, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. This information has come from the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. He added that Cricket matches will begin on 27 January and on the first day, a total of six matches will be played. CMS Kanpur Road Campus stadium is the venue for the first match, to be played between Aster Public School, Greater Noida and Gyan Ganga Public School, Patna, Bihar from 10 am to 1 pm. At the same time at Multi Activity Centre Ground, another match will be held between D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Amristar, Punjab and D.A.V. Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharti Higher Secondary School, Lalitpur, Nepal. Similarly, at the Perth Ground, the match will be played between South City International School, Kolkatta and Legend Combined School, Zimbabwe. The timings of all these matches are from 10 am to 1 pm. Apart from it, two day-night matches will also be played from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and again from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the CMS Kanpur Road stadium.

               Mr Sharma informed that the teams participating in International Cricket competition comprise -  St. Peter's College, Johannesburg, South Africa; TISSL International Schools, Colombo, Sri Lanka; Legend Combined School, Zimbabwe; Indian School, Muscat, Oman; D.A.V. Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharti Higher Secondary School, Lalitpur, Nepal; Sudur Pashchimanchal Academy, Kailali, Nepal; Aster Public School, Greater Noida, U.P.; Amenity Public School, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand; Gyan Ganga Public School, Patna, Bihar; D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Amristar, Punjab; Little Angels School, Haryana; Aachaarya Vidhyalaya School, Hyderabad; Bal Bhawan Public School, Delhi; South City International School, Kolkatta; Aryan International School, M.P. and City Montessori School, Lucknow. Mr Sharma added that this cricket contest is similar to the International T-20 contests and its rules and regulations will also be the same.
