Participants from 23 countries display outstanding mathematical skills


 

Lucknow, October 11 : Young mathematicians of 23 countries displayed their outstanding skills in mathematics on the second day of the six-day International Young Mathematicians' Convention 'IYMC-2022' being organized online by City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I. Student participants from 23 countries viz Taiwan, UAE, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Indonesia, Bulgaria, China, Russia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, South Africa, Romania, Botswana, USA, Vietnam, Thailand, Nigeria, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Tunisia and India are participating in various interesting contests of IYMC-2022 and unfolding the mysteries of different aspects of Mathematics on a common global platform.

            On the second day of IYMC-2022 today, team  contest 'Mathmania' was organized for junior and senior category participants. In both groups, three students representing their team actively participated in Team Activity Contest and exhibited their talents. They solved six questions jointly in the allocated one hour time which were arranged in increasing order of difficulty. The team was allowed 10 minutes discussion time with its members after receiving the question paper. The enthusiasm of participants was worth seeing in this competition.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that at this global platform of IYMC, we are witness to an amalgamation of various cultures and the best thing here lies in eagerness of young mathematicians for world unity and peace. He added that the series of competitions will continue tomorrow, on 12th October as well. Individual contest 'Mathwiz' will be held at 11.00 am and 1.00 pm for the junior and senior cateogory students respectively.
