CMS Teacher tops nationally in CENTA Teaching Professionals Olympiad

Lucknow, July 6: Shilpi Agarwal, a teacher of International Cambridge Section of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II, has topped in the CENTA Teaching Professionals Olympiad with her teaching acumen and professional skills. She has secured 1st rank nationally in her subject track Computer Science while 9th overall rank among all subject tracks. CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi while wholeheartedly praising the talents and professional skills of Ms Shilpi Agarwa, wished her very bright future ahead. This information has come from Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS.  Shri Sharma further informed that Ms Shilpi has been honoured with Rs 25,000 cash prize for first rank in computer track and Rs 20,000 cash prize for overall rank.  Along with this, she will be given an opportunity to attend a two-week training at Oxford University along with many other attractive prizes. Mr Sharma informed that almost seven lakhs teachers from 68 countries participated in this prestigious Olympiad, wherein CMS teacher has achieved tremendous success with her outstanding performance. He added that CENTA Teaching Professional Olympiad is a substantiation for teaching excellence in which teachers from  across the globe compete.

            Mr Sharma further informed that the Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) organizes Teaching Professionals Olympiad (TPO) every year with the aim to encourage teachers to develop their skills and talents. At this unique contest, the teachers are selected on the basis of their proficiency in subjects, experience, and high academic standards. Thus, the acumen of teachers is assessed and developed accordingly to channelize it for extra-curricular activities and thus improve their efficiency manifold.
