CMS student sets record for being the youngest to scale Kedarkantha peak

Lucknow, March 3 : Adhoxaj Shukla, a student of class 5 of City Montessori School, Cambridge section, Gomti Nagar Extension, brought glory to the city by setting record for being the youngest to scale Kedarkantha peak. The Kedarkantha peak of the Himalayas is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and is 12,500 feet high. CMS founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi applauded the courage and determination of Adhoxaj and wished him success in all his future endeavours. CMS Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Hari Om Sharma that the route to the Kedarkanth peak is very steep and therefore the climb is extremely difficult. Adhoxaj achieved this feat with an unprecedented display of courage, physical ability and self-confidence. In view of this student's love towards the environment and his passion and determination to save the mountains from garbage and pollution, he was made the group environment leader in this mountaineering campaign. This mountaineering expedition was organized under the aegis of International Federation of Hostel Associations 'YHAI'.

            Shri Sharma further said that CMS always motivates its students to pursue their passion in their areas of interest. It is for this reason that CMS students are excelling in various other areas apart from academics and bringing laurels to the institution.
