Lucknow, March 3 :
Adhoxaj Shukla, a student of class 5 of City Montessori School, Cambridge
section, Gomti Nagar Extension, brought glory to the city by setting record for
being the youngest to scale Kedarkantha peak. The Kedarkantha peak of the
Himalayas is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and is 12,500
feet high. CMS founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi applauded the courage and
determination of Adhoxaj and wished him success in all his future endeavours.
CMS Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Hari Om Sharma that the route to the
Kedarkanth peak is very steep and therefore the climb is extremely difficult.
Adhoxaj achieved this feat with an unprecedented display of courage, physical
ability and self-confidence. In
view of this student's love towards the environment and his passion and
determination to save the mountains from garbage and pollution, he was made the
group environment leader in this mountaineering campaign. This mountaineering
expedition was organized under the aegis of International Federation of Hostel
Associations 'YHAI'.
Shri Sharma further said that CMS always motivates its
students to pursue their passion in their areas of interest. It is for this
reason that CMS students are excelling in various other areas apart from
academics and bringing laurels to the institution.
