CMS organizes Civil Service Conclave in a grand way

 Lucknow, March 6:  A grand online event 'Civil Service Conclave' was organized today under the aegis of International Relations Department of City Montessori School. Former CMS student and Member of Rajya Sabha, Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi added to the dignity of the function with his presence as the Chief Guest. The Conclave was joined by many eminent personalities, who are former students of CMS and presently serving the country as IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS officers. These eminent CMS alumni shared their experiences of student life in CMS and their experiences as civil servants with the current CMS students who dream of joining the coveted services. Earlier, CMS Founder and renowned educationist Dr. Jagdish Gandhi warmly welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries.

            In his address delivered on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi expressed his happiness that CMS students are spreading the philosophy of Jai Jagat to all corners of the world. He said that the CMS alumni who are holding high positions today have a great responsibility to contribute towards the welfare of the entire world, upliftment of world humanity and realizing the spirit of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam.

                        On this occasion CMS Founder Dr. Jagdish Gandhi said that all our former and present students are our pride. It is because of the hard work of our students, teachers and parents that CMS is recognized the world over for its great academic standards. CMS Founder-Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi, CMS President & MD, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, CMS Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Roshan Gandhi and Convener of 'Civil Service Conclave' and Head of CMS International Relations Department, Dr. Shishir Srivastava, also spoke on the occasion.

Expressing his views at the Conclave,  Mr Gopal Baglay, IFS, an alumnus of the school and High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, said that CMS has taught us that life values like high thinking, morality, excellence of character, etc., are much more important than the marks we score in the examinations. He said that the spirit of Jai Jagat he learnt at CMS has contributed a lot in his diplomatic career. Ms Apoorva Srivastava, IFS, Consul General, Consulate of India, Toronto, Canada, said that CMS imbued in her the ability to learn and to to accept challenges. In fact, the foundation of her life was laid in the initial days of schooling at CMS in classes 1 to 5 itself. Mr Prakash Gupta, IFS, Joint Secretary, Summits and UN Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India said that CMS believes in the all round development of every child, and lays equal emphasis on the academics and the personality development; and this is what differentiates it from other schools. Mr Gyaneshwar Singh, IPS, Deputy Director General (DDG), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said that as a child he was not aware of the importance of CMS educational system, but toady, he can say that the CMS educational methodology, the high moral values and ideology instilled in him here have been the greatest contributors in leading him to this point. Many other eminent CMS alumni including, Ms Neha Giri, CMD, Rajasthan Handloom Corporation, Jaipur; Mr Abhishek Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, ATS, Lucknow; Mr Atul Sharma, IPS, Deputy Director - Traffic, Lucknow; Mr KshitendraVerma, IRS, Joint Commissioner of Central Goods and Services Tax, Faridabad; Ms Ila Triapathi, IAS, Mr Hasan Ahmad, IRS and others also expressed their views on the occasion.
