PSAT Exam conducted at CMS


 Lucknow, October 19 : The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test) was successfully conducted for students from Classes 8 to 11 at the City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I auditorium and CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus auditorium, with 284 students participating. This exam was organized under the aegis of the College Board, USA. The PSAT exam for Classes 8 and 9 was held at the CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I auditorium, while the exam for Classes 10 and 11 was conducted at the CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus auditorium. This information was given by Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS. Mr. Khanna mentioned that CMS, along with providing excellent education to its students, prepares them for future challenges and this exam was organized as part of that preparation. The PSAT is an essential step in preparing students for higher education in renowned universities in India and abroad. While the PSAT for Classes 8 and 9 sets a foundational benchmark for college readiness, the PSAT for Classes 10 and 11 opens the path for students to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. Mr. Khanna further stated that the SAT is a critical requirement for students aspiring to study at prestigious universities in the USA, and the PSAT serves as an excellent practice for the SAT, enabling students to secure admission to prominent institutions with scholarships both in India and abroad.

            Mr. Khanna also shared that the students who appeared for the PSAT were highly enthusiastic about the exam and showed an unprecedented eagerness to assess their talents on an international platform. After the exam, Aditi Bhakuni, a Class 10 student from CMS Anand Nagar Campus, shared her experience, saying, "This exam was an enthralling experience for me as it gave me an opportunity to understand where I truly stand and identify the areas I need to focus on." Sharvani Srivastava, a Class 8 student from CMS Kanpur Road Campus, remarked, "The PSAT provided me with a new experience and insight into how to prepare myself on a global level." Ummul Zehra, a Class 9 student from CMS Asharfabad Campus, said, "This exam helped me develop an understanding not only in Math and English but also in reading and writing." Similarly, many other students collectively agreed that the PSAT is an excellent opportunity to prepare for the SAT.

            CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, extended her best wishes to all the participants for a bright future and said that the CMS SAT Center has opened doors of immense opportunities for students from across the state and beyond, providing the younger generation with a golden opportunity to pursue higher education in prestigious foreign institutions and turn their dreams into reality.
