CMS teachers take out ‘Ahimsa March' with message to realize Bapu’s dreams

Lucknow, 2 October : More than 3,000 teachers and staff of City Montessori School,  clad in white Khadi took out a grand ‘Ahimsa March’ today on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and disseminated the message to realize Bapu’s dreams. This huge March by CMS teachers commenced from the Maqdoompur Police Station at Gomti Nagar Extension and proceeded to the CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus Auditorium. Prominent figures including CMS Founder-Director, Dr. Bharti Gandhi, CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and principals of all 21 CMS campuses joined the march spreading the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.

            Chief Guest on this occasion, Shri Rakesh Sachan, Cabinet Minister, Khadi and Village Industries, Uttar Pradesh, praised the grand 'Ahimsa March' of CMS teachers and encouraged them. In his address, Shri Sachan said that the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, led the country to independence through his ideals, and as a result, we are living in a safe society and our nation is continuously progressing. He emphasized that by adopting Gandhi Ji's ideals, we can improve our own lives as well as the lives of others. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon highlighted that CMS has been continuously promoting Gandhian ideals, instilling good values in future generations. She added that Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings are still relevant and will remain so forever. She also mentioned that campaigns like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Swachh Bharat’ are inspired by Gandhi’s philosophy and vision.

                After the Ahimsa March, CMS teachers enthusiastically celebrated ‘International Day of Non-Violence’ at the CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus Auditorium. The event began with the garlanding of a portrait of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the school prayer. After this, the teachers presented the ‘World Parliament’ based on the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. CMS teachers promoted the spirit of Ahimsa through various educational and cultural items that conveyed the message of world unity and world peace. The event included All Religion Prayer, World Unity Prayer, Prayer Dance, Skit, Qawwali and choreography depicting ‘Gandhi Ji’s Life Journey,’ all of which created an extraordinary atmosphere. Under the leadership of CMS Founder-Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi and Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, the teachers paid heartfelt tribute to CMS Founder, Late Dr. Jagdish Gandhi. A special highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of Dr. Jagdish Gandhi’s favorite bhajans, along with Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite bhajans, ‘Raghupati Raghav Rajaram’ and ‘Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye,’ which filled the auditorium with the sound of applause.


            On this occasion, CMS Founder-Director and renowned educationist, Dr. Bharti Gandhi said that world unity can only be achieved by following Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals. Gandhi believed that world unity and world peace are the only solutions to global problems. Dr. Bharti Gandhi expressed that the time has come to realize Mahatma Gandhi’s vision. She concluded the event by extending heartfelt gratitude to everyone present.
