It is our responsibility to impart values of Respect and Equality of All Religions to the younger generation –Dr Jagdish Gandhi


 

Lucknow, February 13 : The youth of India is bubbling with energy and enthusiasm to carve a new future for mankind and it is the need of the hour to enthuse the feeling of oneness of religion and oneness of humanity in their minds. Character building traits of unity, love, peacefulness, cooperation and religious harmony and religious equality must be taught at this stage of life when they are ready to make a social transformation in the world with their creative ideas and innovative thinking.These were some of the thoughts expressed by the renowned educationist and Founder of the World’s largest school, Dr Jagdish Gandhi at the Leaders Express forum organized under the aegis of IIM, Lucknow.  Dr Gandhi had been invited to speak at the Leaders Express forum by the organizers in view of his vast and far-reaching experience and high standing in educational circles. Dr Gandhi clearly stated that the onus of leadership and progress of the nation rests on the shoulders of the youth of today. It is our duty to empower them with high ideals of humanity and give them a global outlook so that they are able to fulfill the responsibility thrust upon them. Quoting from the UNESCO Constitution, Dr Gandhi said that “Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed.” It may be mentioned that CMS is the proud winner of UNESCO prize for peace education 2002. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of City Montessori School, Mr Hari Om Sharma.

            Mr Hari Om Sharma stated that it was due to the endless strife and continuous effort of the CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi that the City Montessori School, Lucknow has grown phenomenally from a strength of only five pupils in 1959 to over 58,000 pupils in 2023 today. It is now recognized as an NGO of the United Nations.  Further, Mr Sharma informed that Dr Jagdish Gandhi has been awarded and honoured by various great personalities and organizations for his outstanding work in the challenging field of education. It is due to his consistent hard work, foresight and visionary approach that CMS is placed among the top institutions of the country and its fame has spread worldwide. It is a matter of great pride for Lucknowites that  the school has become a centre for quality education in India and a pioneer in global education across the world.
