Ammenity Public School, Uttarakhand wins Championship trophy


 Lucknow, 2 February : The 6-day International School Cricket League 'ISCL-2023' organized by City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus came to a magnificent closing with the Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand bagging the Championship Trophy. 16 teams from various prestigious schools from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, Oman, Nepal and India participated in this international cricket tournament.

            In the final match of ISCL-2023 played at Kanpur Road Cricket Ground, Amenity Public School, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand won the championship trophy by defeating Bal Bhawan International School, Delhi by 60 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Amenity's team scored a mammoth score of 214 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of century innings of opener Ashish Siwach. In this match, Ashish laid the foundation stone of his team's victory by playing an attractive inning of 100 runs in just 42 balls with the help of 7 fours and 10 sixes. In response, the entire team of Bal Bhavan, Delhi was bowled out for 154 runs in 20 overs. Thus, Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand lifted the ISCL-2023 Championship trophy.

            At the closing ceremony after the match, Amenity Uttarakhand player Ashish Siwach was awarded the trophy of 'Man of the Match' and 'Man of the Series'. Apart from this, Aditya Chaudhary of Bal Bhavan International School, Delhi was awarded the best batsman and Prince Rana of the same team was awarded the best bowler.

            The convenor of ISCL-2023 and Principal of CMS Kanpur Road Campus, Dr Vineeta Kamran said that the young players presented a great display of sportsman spirit along with a dazzling display of skills. I believe that Lucknowites had a great experience of cricket during ISCL-2023 matches. Dr Kamran extended her heartiest gratitude to the young players and their coaches arrived here from India and abroad
