CMS students give a strong message of Family Unityon Valentines Day

Lucknow, February 14 : The 58,000 students of all 21 campuses of City Montessori School,led by their respective Principals gave a strong message of ‘Family Unity’ by celebrating St Valentine’s Martyrdom Day, as ‘Family Unity Day’. In this series, CMS Rajajipuram Campus II organized 'Family Unity Day' at its well decorated school premises. On this occasion, students of the school presented a series of educational-cultural items highlighting the importance of family unity. The programme began with the school prayer, All Religion Prayer and World Unity Prayer. Human and moral values were extolled by inspiring songs, skit, qawalli and a special item on grandparents.

               Addressing the parents and grandparents on this occasion, CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that unity among the family members is the first step towards establishing unity in society and in the whole world. Family is the smallest unit in society and thus it forms the basis for unity in the community, country and in a larger sense, the world. He further said that in today’s scenario, we must motivate the youth to understand family values and ideals. Principal of CMS Rajajipuram, Mrs Anupama Checker while expressing her heartiest gratitude towards parents and guardians said that CMS was constantly striving to make its students ideal citizens of the society.

               Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that City Montessori School has been celebrating ‘Valentine’s Day’ as ‘Family Unity Day’ for the past several years and is motivating the entire society to do the same. He expressed his happiness and said that parents have fully supported our sacred mission and expressed their gratitude to the institution. He further said that for past 64 years, CMS has been imparting the teachings of family unity on the basis of the great ideal of Indian philosophy 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam'.
