CMS wins first prize in National School Band Competition

Lucknow, January 27 : The talented 30-member Pipe Band team of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus, has brought immense pride to Lucknow by securing the first prize at the National School Band Competition held at the National Stadium in New Delhi. This competition was organized as part of the 76th Republic Day celebrations, where renowned schools from across the country participated. Amidst tough competition, the CMS Kanpur Road Campus pipe band team delivered an exceptional performance to clinch the first prize. For this remarkable achievement, the CMS students' team was honoured with a certificate of appreciation, a trophy, and a cash prize of Rs. 21,000. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, congratulated the CMS pipe band team on this outstanding achievement and wished them a bright future.
Prof. Kingdon also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, Dr. Vinita Kamran along with the teachers who led the band team. This information was given by Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS.

            Mr. Khanna informed that the CMS Kanpur Road Campus students who elevated Lucknow’s pride with their exceptional performance in the National School Band Competition include Abhishek Pandey, Nihal Kumar, Atharv Tiwari, Akshat Jaiswal, Aviral Sagar, Ayush Kumar Pandey, Prithvi Singh Satya, Namanjeet Singh, Manomay Tiwari, Yasharth Vikram Singh, Sanskar Singh, Saksham Upadhyay, Atharv Parmar, Ayush Verma, Vaibhav Sehgal, Ganesh Gupta, Kanishk Gupta, Arush Shukla, Arpan Chatterjee, Eric Shukla, Prakhyat Dubey, Ansh Kashyap, Naman Kumar, Yuvraj Prakash Verma, Atharv Mani, Manas Tripathi, Debanjan Chakravarty, Dweep Pal, Ansh Pratap Yadav, and Vanshraj Dwivedi. This national-level accomplishment by CMS students is the result of their hard work, passion for music, and the encouragement and guidance of the school’s music teachers.

            Mr. Khanna further stated that CMS is committed to the holistic development of its students in areas of interest. CMS not only provides physical, social, and spiritual education to the younger generation but also fosters their inclination toward cultural and literary pursuits, identifying and nurturing their potential.
