Religious leaders, CMS students, teachers and parents take out All Religion Unity March
Lucknow, February 1 : Students, teachers and parents of City
Montessori School, Asharfabad campus took out an All Religion Unity March led
by leaders of various religions appealing for social harmony through unity in
the community and gave the message of mutual trust and unity among various
social and religious communities. Shri Madhu Smita Das from Hinduism, Shri
Sufiyan Nizami and Maulana Dr Kalbe Sibtain (Noorie) from Islam, Shri Harpal
Singh Jaggi from Sikkhism and Bhikshu Gyanlok from Buddhism led the huge march
on the streets of Asharfabad, giving the message of cooperation, peace and harmony.
Participation of a large number of mothers of CMS students was a special thing
about the march. Earlier, CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi along with the eminent
religious leaders of different faiths lighted the lamp of unity and communal
harmony to inaugurate the event.
Speaking on the
occasion, representative of Hinduism, Shri Madhu Smita Das said that this initiative by CMS students
should be emulated by the society. Representative of Islam, Shri Sufiyan
Nizami said that it is difficult to find another example of the voice for
social unity and harmony raised by the students and parents of CMS. Other
representatives of Islam, Maulana Dr Kalbe Sibtain (Noorie) said that Dr
Jagdish Gandhi has devoted his entire life to make the future of children
bright and re-build a peaceful, united and sustainable society, in the true
sense, Dr Gandhi deserves national recognition like Padma Vibhushan. Representative
of Sikkhism, Shri Harpal Singh Jaggi said that the religion of humanity is
the only eternal truth. Representative of Buddhism, Bhikshu Gyanlok said
that we cannot imagine world unity or even unity in society without unity
of religions.
Flagging off the all religion unity march,
CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that children need to be taught
religious unity and world unity from childhood for social progress and
upliftment. CMS President & Managing Director, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon
said that CMS students are determined to revive the ailing society. Mrs
Trapti Dwivedi, Principal of CMS Asharfabad campus delivered the vote of
thanks to all the eminent guests, parents and teachers.
