Fight coronavirus with force of unity and cooperation -- Dr Jagdish Gandhi


Lucknow, April 25 : Founder of City Montessori School and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi appeals to all the people of Uttar Pradesh to imbibe sentiments of unity, cooperation and collaboration to fight with this deadly pandemic corona and strictly follow the lockdown to defeat it completely. Only the combined efforts of all the people of Uttar Pradesh will remove this pandemic because disease can affect anyone from any caste or  religion. Since it's a trying period, we all must set our religious differences aside, get united and vow to eradicate the roots of this pandemic with cooperation.
        Dr Gandhi, in his  message especially appealed to the students to stay safe by staying at home and study online through E-learning. He suggested to students to follow a disciplined daily routine and besides study they must play indoor games and do yoga to be fit and healthy. Moreover, youth and adolescents should increase their social interest so that they can be helpful to society with their creative energy.
        Dr Gandhi further stated that in times of lockdown due to the Corona pandemic, City Montessori School is making optimum use of online technology to ensure that education of students does not suffer even though schools have been closed for a long period now.  CMS has switched to online learning using Google Classrooms, Google Hangouts, etc., through which teachers post lessons and assignments for the students and take online classes in every subject. This is done according to a set timetable in which students join online lessons at pre-arranged timings. CMS has partnered with Google Apps for Education, Khan Academy, Tata ClassEdge, and other providers to share educational resources, give a better understanding of concepts, and share content live with students through video conferencing tools.
        CMS is pioneer in doing its social services and it has contributed for the corona victims as well. CMS has contributed Rs 1,90,00,000 (One Crore Ninety Lakh Rupees) for the corona victims besides providing school buses as per need and contributed nearly 10,000 kilograms food items for the community kitchen of the state government to feed the poor and needy people hit by countrywide lockdown. He called upon the people of the state to come forward and cooperate with the government in combating the deadly corona virus by following the state guidelines strictly and also by helping  the poor and needy in their locality in whichever way they can.
